This website offers services to buy sell and let. Nice design, it is easy navigable; the search criteria are quite specific but it is not necessary to fill all the details to run the search. Guides for sellers and buyers are offered as well.
BEWARE. Even if you opt for the FREE service you may find you get exposure on fish4,pfinder & 4. This would be great (given that they say you need to pay for this) but not so great if you already have this exposure via other means and lose leads you would otherwise have received unless you pay houseladder as well.
Some users have told us that you need to pay for contact details of sales leads if you list a property. Users agree that your experience tends to be down to pot luck, as there are many leads but also many timewasters.
Fantastic Easy to use have used it last year 2006 to sell my Flat, which took about 2 weeks!
If a contact wishes to obtain more details you have to upgrade from a free ad for sale - this s not made clear and effectively eliminates the free advert status.
Disappointing customer service and behaviour. Not a good option. Unfriendly and overpriced for what is offered.
Site although ranked highly, has a home made feel and has pop ups that mean that searching on this site is not pleasant. Promoting the site as FREE is misleading as I put my property on the site for FREE, only to have some marketing company contact me and trick me in paying houseladder to view the full enquiry.
Our house was on this site for over six months and we only got 3 requests. we put it on with an agent and sold within a month, much to our annoyance of having to pay for two fees.
they kept on emailing me 9 months after I found.
What is free? Free means to me that the service or item is free of any charge. It seems to mean different to HOUSE LADDER. In order to access the two leads, [I got them in less than 24hrs] I had to join at a cost.[I DID NOT] What is free about that? When I looked at the site they had got the price well wrong,[no wonder there was interest] and most of the important details were "asterisk" out. WHY? I think that perhaps I should use the old fashion way.
